About Joh-Eun-Nal Lidcombe

I’m excited to introduce Joh-Eun-Nal Lidcombe, a Korean restaurant that locals quietly rave about when they want comforting food with real personality. Tucked away at 20 Joseph St, Lidcombe NSW 2141, Australia, this spot feels approachable the moment you step in, with a relaxed dining room that suits quick lunches, casual dinners, and those unplanned catch-ups that turn into long conversations. The menu leans into small plates and share-friendly dishes, which makes ordering fun and flexible, especially if you like tasting a bit of everything. Whether you’re dining in to soak up the atmosphere, grabbing takeaway on a busy night, or opting for delivery when staying in sounds better, the service options keep things easy and practical. I also like that you can pair your meal with a beer or other alcohol without it feeling like a big production, keeping the focus on good food and good company. On most days, the room carries a steady buzz rather than a rush, which makes it easy to settle in without feeling hurried. The layout supports conversation, and the food arrives in a rhythm that works for sharing, nibbling, and ordering one more plate just because it sounds good. That balance is why it appeals to weeknight regulars and weekend visitors alike, offering comfort without fuss. What stands out most is how Joh-Eun-Nal Lidcombe balances speed and care; you can drop in for a quick bite and still feel like the food was prepared with attention. The flavors are bold but familiar, making it an easy recommendation for both Korean food fans and first-timers who want something satisfying without guesswork. It’s the kind of restaurant you mention to friends when they ask where to eat in Lidcombe, because it fits so many moods and schedules while staying consistent in quality, with small plates that encourage sharing and a welcoming setup that works for solo diners and groups alike.

Blood jelly soup is highly recommended. It will be better if extra salt and pepper can be provided for the jelly. Fried boneless chicken is good as well. Reasonable price.

Visited Joh-Eun-Nal in Lidcombe and it was such a fun and tasty experience. The food was authentic and full of flavor — crispy fried chicken, spicy sides, and hearty stews that went perfectly with cold beer. The restaurant had that lively, friendly energy you find in real Korean places, with music and laughter in the background. The staff were kind and attentive, and the service was quick. Highly recommend if you’re craving real Korean comfort food in Sydney’s west.

Gone here for lunch with my family for the first time. We got our seats very quickly, although the place is a little crowded. The distance between our 4 seaters table to the two seaters next to us is none existence. Despite that the food are great and portion are large for the price. We ordered the seafood and chives pancake, half boneless fried chicken and small size pig's feet. The pancake has lots of chives and seafood and comes with a nice chilly sauce to go with it. The boneless fried chicken is crispy on the outside and tender inside very addictive. The pig's feet is nicely done, the meat is tender and not too dry. For $35 this dish is value for money. I would come back for more with family and friends but not so much a place to go chatting over a meal.

The staff is super enthusiastic and cute, but I'm very disappointed because I really like the food of the restaurant and I've been there many times, but the last 2 times I came to eat, I felt the experience was not good and disappointed. I ate in a bad mood and didn't enjoy the feeling when eating. The reason is like this. The last time I ordered food, but instead of her confirming the dish with me before ordering, she didn't do that. That was the first time, I still didn't care because I thought I ordered the wrong thing. But the second time, I went alone, when I ordered, I just said "do you have corn cheese?". That's it, I just asked. I went back and ordered another dish, I didn't confirm whether I ordered or not. When I ordered, I chose another dish with her, but she didn't confirm the dish but went to call the kitchen. After sitting down for a while, I wanted to eat 1 more dish so I asked her to order more. Only then did she confirm the dish with me? There is also cheese corn? Meanwhile I did not order anything? And she did not ask me again? I am really disappointed because I am also a server, I always want everyone to have the best experience and always care about the customers. I hope the restaurant improves because I really like the food here, thanks.
